    TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION

Complete Intelligent Mass‑Production Solution for Dry‑Electrodes

To address pain points of conventional wet processes (high energy consumption and heavy pollution) and legacy dry equipment (low film‑forming precision and insufficient compatibility), Tsingyan Electronics presents its full‑fledged intelligent dry‑electrode mass‑production equipment solution. High‑efficiency front‑end fibrillating dispersion coupled with mid‑to‑back‑end intelligent closed‑loop control enables micron‑level precise film‑forming and high‑speed wide‑width manufacturing, supporting full‑chain technical enablement for greener, more efficient and scaled‑up electrode production.

    01 Dry‑Process Material: PTFE Binder

This new‑generation modified binder delivers thermal stability and mechanical strength required for high draw‑ratio operations, suitable for low‑content calendering, stretching and extrusion. In dry processing, solid binders are directly fibrillated to build a 3‑D “network” structure to realize bonding functions and produce self‑supporting films.

    • Average particle size: 100‑500 μm

    • Bulk density: 440‑640 g/l

    • Melting point: 326‑328 °C

    • Specific gravity: 2.14‑2.16

02 Dry‑Process Material: Carbon‑Coated Foil for Current Collectors

Available grades include carbon‑coated aluminum foil for Li‑ion batteries, carbon‑coated copper foil for Li‑ion batteries, and carbon‑coated aluminum foil for supercapacitors. It effectively reduces interfacial contact impedance and internal cell resistance, enhances adhesion and peel strength between active materials and current collectors, mitigates internal cell polarization, improves discharge rate capability and specific energy of high‑rate batteries, and inhibits current‑collector corrosion as well as lithium‑dendrite formation.

    • Dense and uniform coating; surface dyne value ≥ 60 dyne

    • Adhesion grade: 4‑5, compliant with GB/T 40262‑2021

    • Electrolyte‑resistant wipe test: > 100 cycles

    • No coating peeling after 7‑day immersion in electrolyte at 60 °C

    • Low interfacial impedance, markedly boosting battery cycle stability and service life

    03 Front‑End Core Equipment: Integrated Mixing‑Homogenization Machine

Dedicated for front‑stage processes of dry‑electrode mass‑production lines, this unit integrates material mixing, homogenization and fibrillating functions. It is engineered to avoid material damage and particle agglomeration while meeting stringent requirements for high homogeneity and fibrillating performance in dry‑electrode manufacturing.

    • Supports fibrillating of diverse powder materials

    • Ultra‑high‑speed cutting & shearing; linear speed up to 58 m/s

    • High‑efficiency cooling to prevent thermal degradation of materials

    • Material residual rate < 0.5 %

    • Sealed agitator‑shaft design for low leakage risk

    • Automatically liftable tank cover for simplified maintenance access

    04 Mid‑to‑Back‑End Key Equipment: Dry‑Electrode Film‑Forming & Lamination Machine

    Critical mid‑to‑back‑end unit for intelligent dry‑electrode lines. Configurations include single‑side film‑forming‑lamination all‑in‑one machines, dual‑side film‑forming‑lamination all‑in‑one machines, and dual‑side film‑forming‑lamination mass‑production models. Precision temperature‑ and pressure‑control systems guarantee superior film quality. Mass‑production version: maximum web width 1000 mm, top film‑forming speed 100 m/min, roll‑gap adjustment accuracy ± 1 μm.

    • Precision Process: Multi‑variable full‑closed‑loop intelligent control over pressure, roll gap, temperature and tension. High adjustment accuracy and robust stability to secure consistent electrode sheets.

    • Broad Compatibility: Works with diverse cathode and anode material systems, including lithium‑ion, sodium‑ion, manganese dioxide, oxide and sulfide solid electrolytes.

    • High Throughput: Enables continuous integrated “dual‑side simultaneous film‑forming‑hot‑press lamination” process for large‑volume mass‑production.

    • Intelligent Inspection: Optional integration of in‑line thickness and areal‑density measurement systems for real‑time data analytics and visualization.

Tsingyan Electronics has built China’s first automated 0.1 GWh‑capacity dry‑electrode production line, and is accelerating construction of the country’s first 3 GWh dry‑electrode mass‑production line. From powder mixing‑homogenization to film‑forming‑lamination, Tsingyan’s leading intelligent dry‑electrode mass‑production equipment solution empowers the global battery industry toward higher energy density, lower manufacturing costs and a greener low‑carbon future.
