On January 5, BTR and Shenzhen Tsingyan Electronics signed a joint‑venture cooperation agreement. The two parties will carry out in‑depth collaboration to advance the industrialization of dry‑electrode technology and jointly drive innovation in key cutting‑edge processes for lithium‑ion batteries. Dr. Yang Shunyi, General Manager of the Cathode Division at BTR, and Dr. Wang Chen, General Manager of Shenzhen Tsingyan Electronics, attended the signing ceremony.

Dry‑electrode technology directly compresses active materials and conductive agents into films, eliminating the solvent coating and drying steps required in conventional wet‑process manufacturing. Boasting low‑cost performance, environmental friendliness and high energy density, this technology addresses issues such as solvent‑induced corrosion of sulfides and residual solvent molecules. It delivers critical support for forward‑looking fields including solid‑state batteries and represents a core research direction for future upgrades and technological iteration within the lithium‑battery industry.
Shenzhen Tsingyan Electronics draws on more than 20 years of technical expertise from the industrial team of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy‑Storage Materials and Devices, Tsinghua‑Shenzhen International Graduate School. The company has built solid R&D capabilities in dry‑electrode technology and was the first globally to launch a fully‑automatic dry‑electrode production line, holding industry‑leading equipment and technologies.
According to Dr. Wang Chen, the partnership between BTR and Tsingyan Electronics essentially achieves a precise match between R&D strengths and industrial‑resource advantages. By resolving respective pain points of both sides, the collaboration will generate synergies delivering greater than the sum of its parts (1+1>2).
BTR has long focused on cutting‑edge innovation in material systems and manufacturing processes. It maintains leadership in key lithium‑battery materials and has made forward‑looking layouts for material solutions compatible with next‑generation battery technologies.
Dr. Yang Shunyi commented: “Close collaboration between our R&D teams has yielded important technical breakthroughs, and all work is progressing smoothly. We hope to consolidate our technical foundations and build competitive edges. Meanwhile, both teams will strengthen synergy and cultural integration to lay a solid foundation for long‑term development. I am convinced that our joint efforts will open up brand‑new prospects.”
This partnership enables complementary strengths. Tsingyan Electronics’ first‑mover advantage in disruptive dry‑electrode technology will be combined with BTR’s expertise in lithium‑battery material science and engineering. The alliance will advance full‑chain integration spanning dry‑electrode material design optimization, dry‑process workflow innovation and end‑product performance improvement. Both parties will jointly respond to downstream battery manufacturers’ demands for next‑generation products and deliver more competitive technologies for the new‑energy industry.
